White Foam is a concept cafe created and owned by three Saudi friends. As soon as you walk into the cafe, you'll be delighted with the chemical or lab-like theme that is combined with chemical precision, latest coffee and tea-making techniques, and a local awareness to ingredients and products. from the coffee beans sourced from Yemen and brewed in Saudi Arabia to the local pastries.
White Foam Cafe is the only coffee shop in Riyadh that uses Yemeni roasted coffee for their espresso and American coffee and most probably the only coffee shop in Riyadh that roasts their American coffee/filter coffee freshly brewed and done every time on the spot at the time of your order.
They came up with a their very own coffee creation which is the 4oz. This speciality of White Foam is similar to a Spanish coffee called Cortado or Gibraltar in the US. For the 4oz, Yemeni coffee, US coffee from exceptional farms, or African beans are used.
Another speciality at White Foam, is the siphon coffee. This is a pure way of making coffee. It's fun to watch the process of the siphon coffee being made right in front of you. The end product is a delicate flavor of the coffee bean itself with a consistency that is close to tea but with the strong taste of pure coffee.
"We have spent over a year picking and choosing different kinds of teas from all over the world...in search of flavors that are unique, and even exotic sometimes," mention the owners of White Foam. So for the non-coffee drinkers, you'll find speciality teas from all over the world including the famous Mariage Frères.
"One of the main reasons this project came to life; was our disappointment in many of the coffee preparations that are in the city. We chose to take espresso to the next level. Learning from many barista's abroad. We believe we are coming close to making that perfect espresso shot. A mere drink for some, yet a dream for people like us, for It's just that good. When it comes to Local; we are part of that locality."
Speaking of locality, White Foam Cafe sources its pastries from local patisseries. Small pastries perfect for your cup of coffee and tea, and mud pies sourced from The Mud Pie Factory which is also a Saudi owned and created business.
